Regional Security Manager

Location: Hyderabad

Job Responsibilities:

The Regional Security Manager (RSM) is responsible for delivering effective and efficient physical security operations and programs that protect critical infrastructure for a complex, multi $100M global client account. The RSM must be comfortable working in a highly complex, fast paced, and collaborative culture. Managing a team of Campus Security Managers (CSMs) and Security Team Managers (STMs) in geographically separated facilities, the RSM verifies compliance with security procedures and policies, tracks audit readiness, and provides direction to ensure physical security requirements are met or exceeded. Reporting to the Regional Director of Security Operations, the RSM works directly with management, the client, and other vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Recruits, hires, and proactively manages CSMs and supports the CSMs’ efforts to do the same.
  • Oversee site-level operation of security systems and timely completion of projects and tasks.
  • Verifies compliance with security procedures, standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Supports regulatory, industry and contractual audits such as, ISO 27001, SAS 70, FISMA, PCI, and Common Criteria.
  • Manages and reviews security reports, works with security personnel to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provides detailed security management and status reports to client management and key stakeholders.
  • Communicates issues to the client management in a timely manner and provides recommendations for resolution.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains security-related processes, procedures, training, and improvement plans.
  • Documents and improves work processes to make workflow more efficient and productive.
  • Keeps management informed of major accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
  • Listens to the customer and seeks to provide highly effective solutions to accomplish the customer’s goals.
  • Collaborates across groups, internal and external, to identify issues, overcome challenges, and deliver results.
  • Works with other RSMs and stakeholders to create security models that enable teams to maintain a high level of accountability and consistency.
  • Coordinates with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Works with manager and stakeholders to identify new initiatives and contributes to the long-term strategy and goals.

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., mobile phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license in the state/country they reside.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country where they reside.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
  • Must have a High School Diploma.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business / Management/ or related field) and/or five years of experience in a corporate security, military or law enforcement position.
  • Five years of well documented managerial experience in one or more of the following areas: security operations, service planning, service development or related operational field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Professional certifications preferred (CPP, PSP, etc.).
  • Datacenter experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have a current passport or be able to obtain one.
  • Able to travel (international or domestic, as required) approximately 50% of the time or more, occasionally with limited notice.
  • Able to work evening or weekend hours when required, such as during an emergency event or crisis.

  • Strong computer skills. Must be proficient and familiar in the use of the Microsoft products.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent ability to contribute independently in security operations.
  • Understanding of security operations, including Security Operations Center (SOC) operations and procedures.
  • Maintains composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others.

  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
  • May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Required to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24/7) for security related emergency situations.
